Business Book Reviews
The most successful business owners make searching out new ideas a priority.
Studies have repeatedly shown that the most successful business owners are those who are constantly searching out new ideas to get that competitive edge. They never stop learning new ideas to take their business to the Next Level.
This Month’s Business Book Review
It’s no wonder that so many personal and business decisions turn out poorly, research in psychology has revealed that our decisions are disrupted by an array of biases and irrationalities-we’re often overconfident, we seek out only the information that supports our position and we let our emotions guide us.
In Decisive coauthors Chip and Dan Heath offer fresh strategies and practical tools that enable us to make the right decision. Because the right decision at the right moment, can make all the difference.
Get ready to dig into their great ideas and pull them apart so that you can use them in your organization. We’ll meet on Tuesday, September 17, 7:30AM at my office, 27 Garden St., Danvers, MA.

Time to check out Next Level’s Business Book Reviews
Next Level’s Business Book Reviews is a regular ongoing series where Boston area business owners and professionals will be able to pick up the key ideas and themes from a great business book…and figure out how to start applying those ideas right away. For less than the price of a hard back, you’ll get breakfast (or maybe lunch) and a complete summary and review of an important book.
And the best part? You don’t even need to read the book! We’ll cover the key points, have a great group discussion and get you on your way. You’ll walk out with a several page summary, some new knowledge and introductions to like minded business owners and professionals who also want to learn and be successful!
The morning meetings may be kind of early – but we’ll have coffee and breakfast for you and you’ll be on your way, smarter, happier and better looking than you were before (well at least smarter and happier). We guarantee it!
Here’s what people are saying:
“I thoroughly enjoyed the group discussion around the key points of the book…”
“I thought this was extremely valuable. It was very inspirational and my head is already spinning with ideas and things I want to implement.”
“Saved me time – gave me important information – had interesting discussions! Went back to work! (Great use of my time)!”
“This was a great experience. It allowed me to get the benefits of a book without having to read it all first! Mike knows what he is doing and any time with him leaves a lasting impression.”
“This really added a dynamic to the way I would have been able to think about and comprehend the material on my own.”
Who should attend?
Business leaders and professionals who have a need to keep learning, but don’t have the time nor the inclination to read (i.e. a lot of smart people we know)!
How does it work?
We’ll keep it simple – come in at 7:30, we’ll provide coffee and some eats just to get us rolling. You’ll have a few minutes to meet the other attendees and then we’ll dive into the review and discussion of the book. About 1/2 the time will be spent covering the key ideas and the other 1/2 will be more of a group discussion.
We’re limiting the group size to 15, small enough so everyone can participate, but large enough to have a lively exchange with lots of different viewpoints and ideas.
We’ll close on time and get you on with your day, secure in the knowledge that you know now more…and will be more successful.
If for any reason you don’t feel like you learned at least a couple of useful new ideas, then you will get a complete and cheerful refund…and get to keep your summary!
If you’re interested in getting notified for the next Business Book Review, contact us at 978-278-5541 or use our Contact Form and we’ll get you on a mailing list. The plan is to make this a regular (every 6 to 8 weeks) event and we hope to soon have a schedule out.
Also – if you would be interested in having a Business Book Review done for your company or private group, let us know – it can make for a great team building and growth type of event.
I hope to see you there!
